Most cancers are named for the organ or type
of cell in which they begin, but in advanced
cases of cancer they metastasize (spread) to
other cell types or organs. Many different genes
and enzymes are known to be involved in cancer,
some are more ubiquitious while others are more
specific. We have a battery of both human (40+)
and non-human (15+) cancer cell lines to screen
for anti-cancer
effects based on cell viability, proteolysis,
specific kinase, apoptosis, differentiation,
thymidine uptake and cytotoxicity.
